Terms and Conditions
Instruments:
Piano, Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass), Guitar, Lute, Woodwind, Brass, Harp, Accordion, Harmonica, Voice, Harpsichord, Organ, Percussion, Bagpipe, Traditional Musical Instruments and others. (When in doubt, please contact us to confirm).

Little 7 years old and younger
Junior 8-12 years old
Teen 13-17 years old
Star 17 and older
No age limit imposed.
Entry types: Solo, Duo and group
Participants of each category will be placed in the appropriate age group(s)
Participants have to get their own Musical Instrument and have to be checked and synchronized with the Technical team a day prior to the performances.
Except Piano and Drums which we will keep it common for all the participants.
Competition is in two rounds Audition and Finals. Finals performance has to be different from the Auditions.
Scoring and Awards
1. Adjudicated Scoring
We strongly believe that positive-reinforcement of participant, essential to the construction of self-esteem. Our Judges strive to employ this philosophy in each of their evaluations.
Technique 40%
Trecision/Execution 30%
Choreography 15%
Stage Presence 10%
Overall Appearance 5%
* Scores are averaged for all judges to determine the final score.
2. High Scores
In addition to adjudicated scoring, entries compete against one another in their respective categories determined by group size, level, and age group. The overall high scores in each category will be announced and recognized for placement.
Plaques/trophies are awarded to the highest score for solos, duos/trios, and Group in each of the following age groups and for each level.

* Any solo or duo/trio with identical dancers may only place with their highest scoring routine.
* Each solo, duo, trio and group will receive a trophy and each dancer (excluding solo entries) will receive a Certificate.
3. Judges/Special Awards
In addition to the adjudicated awards, high scores and title, the judges have the option to award special awards at their sole discretion. These awards will be based on what the judges deem to be extraordinary attributes of a routine and are not based on adjudicated scores.
Sportsmanship, Appropriateness, Registration, Schedule, Discounts and Fees, and Other Rules
1. Sportsmanship
The Funtastic Family Competition wants every dancer to feel accomplished. We know how much work these dancers put into preparing for these competitions and encourage everyone to congratulate the dancers on a job well done. All competitors, teachers, family and audience members should treat the dancers and one another with respect and courtesy and the hard work of the performers and directors and choreographers should be acknowledged. We reserve the right to ask anyone not following these rules to leave the premises.
2. Appropriateness
The Funtastic Family Competition is a family-friendly event. Costuming must be age appropriate and all routines presented on stage must be appropriate for family viewing. Choreography and lyrics which are suggestive or violent or contain mature language are not acceptable. Failure to adhere to the above rules may lead to deductions or even disqualification.
3. Registration
Online registration is offered as the quickest, easiest and most accurate method of entering your information. Please create an account at www.funtastic-family.com and then click the Register link. After creating an account, you will create a roster of all performers and then enter routines. Students can be added, deleted or modified by funtastic family until 1 weeks prior to competition. Age divisions, size categories and routine levels are automatically calculated and are available for teachers to view on this account.
All registration must provide a master list of all performers in this online system, listing the name of each student, date of birth, competition level for each participant.. by filling up the details the participant agreed to follow all the rules and regulations.
All entries must be submitted with payment link on the website. The Registration fees mentioned is for the early bird which may change depending to the numbers of entries received.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Gift certificates for future competitions will be issued only with written documentation of injury or illness, and gift certificates will be issued directly to the participant.
Day-of cancellations due to injured dancers will not be issued credits.
4. Schedule
A schedule will be issued approximately 1 week to 10 days prior to competition and will be made available to all participants.
The final schedule must be followed, with failure to following the order possibly resulting in loss of participation.
All performers should be ready to perform 1 hour prior to their scheduled time. If the competition is running ahead of schedule, they are expected to be ready earlier. Each participent concierge will keep the participent informed of any time-related changes, such as the competition running either early or late, or changes to scheduled breaks.
5. Discounts and Fees
Discounts are offered at the discretion of Funtastic Family. Please contact us for information on discounts.
Entries must be received 2 weeks prior to the competition date. Any entries received less than 2 weeks prior to the competition date will be assessed an additional 100% fee. No entries will be allowed less than 1 week prior to the competition date.
6. Additional Rules
Funtastic Family gives all dancers access to all photos and videos from their social media platform, with unlimited sharing and downloading for free. A link with all media will be sent to participent directly within two weeks of each event.
Smoking is prohibited in/around the competition area.
Competitors must represent only one School or institute. Independent competitors are permitted.
Funtastic Family and its host venue are not responsible for any personal injury/property loss before, during or after the event.
Performers, teachers, studio owners and prop coordinators are the only people allowed backstage. Team members may be asked to leave the backstage at the discretion of the backstage manager.
Funtastic Family reserves the right to cancel any and all events due to lack of registration, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In these circumstances, full refunds will be issued to participent. Funtastic Family also reserves the right to change an event's location, venue and/or dates. If an event’s location should change less than 2 weeks from the start of competition. participant do not have the option of canceling registration/participation. However, Funtastic Family will not be held responsible for any costs involved in this change, including but not limited to hotel fees, transportation costs or bank fees.
3. GENRES
Any dance style is accepted. But it shouldn’t be religious, vulgar or defaming any one or hurt any once sentiment
Participant has to provide the details related to music and dance style atlest a week before the Auditions.
4. Performance Levels
Our goal at Funtastic Family is to create an atmosphere that allows all dancers to spread their wings. We have created different age groups so all dancers can compete in their proper category.
All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants.
No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
* The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.
* Violators will be removed from the contest, stripped of any prize(s), and banned from entering future contests.
* Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel. Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.
* Entries will be judged by the Nikon Youth and Kids School. All decisions are final. The Company reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
* By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by the Nikon Youth and Kids School for advertising purposes.
* Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
* The prize must be collected by the winner and is nontransferable.
* The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry. If no response is received after [three] business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
* The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
* If you're using entry forms like those offered by Submittable, you can include language at end of the form asking entrants to confirm that they have read the rules and regulations by clicking the submit button.
By entering the competition, you grant the organizers a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license (with a right to sub-license) to reproduce, enlarge, publish, edit, or modify the competition entry or exhibit, on any media, the images for any purpose to further its aims and objectives.
More specifically to use include but not limited to the below:
1. At presentation events, including exhibiting the images in and around UAE.
2. On the organizers' website, the organisers' social media channels and in the organisers' email communications.
3. In the organisers' magazine and associated products for the purposes of promoting the competition.
4. In the press for the purposes of publicising this photography competition and the promotional activities.
5. In conjunction with the main sponsors to further promote this photography competition.
6. In conjunction with selected Corporate Members for promotion and sponsorships.
7. The right to use your name and country of residence for the purpose of identifying you as the author of your entry and/or as a winner of the Competition.
8. The winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Competition and the winners shall participate in such activity on the organisers' reasonable request. The winners consent to the use by the organisers and its related companies, both before and after the closing date of the Competition for an unlimited time, of the winners' voice, image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by the organisers and its related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the same.
9. The organisers will make every reasonable effort to ensure that name credits are given to any photograph published in any medium.
Indemnity and Limitation of Liability
You agree to indemnify Nikon Youth and Kids School and Funtastic Family and keep the organisers indemnified against any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense suffered by the organisers as a result of your entry in the competition, including (but not limited to) any claim of infringement of intellectual property rights made by any third party.
You also hereby waive all your moral rights in your entry. Notwithstanding the afore-going waiver, in order to use entries as intended and advised in these Terms and Conditions, (i) The organisers may need to modify entries, including but not limited to resizing, cropping or colour adjustment as necessary, provided that the organisers shall endeavour in undertaking such modifications to maintain the integrity of your entry as originally created; and (ii) the organisers shall reasonably provide a picture credit for all entries.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the organisers exclude its liability for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense suffered by you, whether directly or indirectly and howsoever caused, in connection with the competition and use of any prize. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the organisers' liability for death or personal injury arising from the organisers' own negligence or any other liability that cannot, as a matter of law, be excluded.
The organisers accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting any prize. The organisers further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.
The organisers accept no liability and provides no indemnity to entrants against claims by a third party for violation of their alleged rights in any photograph submitted for the competition. In the event of a claim, the entrant (copyright owner) must reimburse the organisers for any costs and expenses incurred by them in defending its case – including any attorney and court fees, as well as any associated damages and penalties.
